At the Mexico City Americas Regional Meeting, our representatives voted almost unanimously (one abstention) to support a resolution calling for the impeachment of George Bush and Richard Cheney. The resolution was presented by the San Miguel chapter. Gretchen
Sullivan, Bruce Rossley, and Nancy Evans wrote the resolution. Judith Jenya, Gretchen Sullivan, Bruce Rossley, and Georgeann Johnson (above) presented it to the DA Mexico delegation.

Information About Impeachment
Lake Chapala Chapter member Beverly Bandler has compiled a thorough overview about the impeachment process. It is available at http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/packet.
Says Bandler, "The focus of the packet...is to defend the U.S. Constitution by initiating an appropriate investigation. To take the opportunity to educate our leaders, the media, the American people on what the Constitution says and why. Resolutions for WAR? Outrageous! The three branches don’t seem to understand what their jobs are.
"In my view, we...are talking about the very real possibility of losing our Republic.
"I believe the Impeachment process has the potential for defending the U.S. Constitution, reuniting the nation, and saving the Republic. The process needs to be initiated for the right reason and in the right way. I believe we can rise to that level.
"I think the Founding Fathers and Barbara Jordan are watching to see if we have the character, the courage, and the commitment to do it.
"Folks should feel free to distribute this packet as widely as they can. The goal is for a deluge of e-mails, letters, phone calls to go to the Judiciary Committee, Congress, political leaders of all parties, the mainstream media, et al. And soon.
"This effort requires time and effort. I believe we all realize the Constitution is worth it."
